December

Well, it's finally here, the end of the year.  Can you believe it?  No, me neither.  In my mind, it's still July, well, until I step outside into the freezing cold and (thin crisp of) snow.  And then I remember, it'll soon be christmas :)
Winter is one of my favourite times of year.  Everyone muffles up in all their Winter woolies, there are mince pies in abundance and the kitchen has a permanent aroma of spices, cake and baking.  Mmmmm.

Along with the baking, there's a lot of making.  Christmas presents, cards, decorations, they all look a bit better with a touch of 'hand made' about them.  With this in mind, I thought I'd share a few Folksy goodies with you all.  These are all made by the December Elves, a listing club who try to list an item a day in each of their shops.  It's exhausting but fun, and at least you know there are a bunch of other people as manic/tired/busy (delete as appropriate) as you.  Oh yes, I have joined!

Anyway, the goodies.  If you like what you see, click on the photo to be taken to the shop...

  1. Oooh! Thanks muchly for featuring my beaded bauble kit. Loving your other choices from the Elves too, especially Sophies beret.

I do like this time of year too unless I'm out stuck in the cold. I must admit that I buy lots of Christmas spice scented things because I love the smell all year round!

  2. My pleasure - the beading kit is a fab idea! Like you with the scent, I'm a demon for xmas cake. I eat it all year round. December is an excuse to double my usual intake :)

  3. Ooh I love Gem's bauble and thankyou for showing my kitten. I love christmas cake but I'm the only one so it's not worth making one. But my mum always makes one, so I pinch a bit of hers to bring back to Cornwall
